I am a 1984 graduate of Grove High School.
I attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK and graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.
In 2015, I received my Master of Science degree in Educational Technology from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS.
Teaching Certificates held in: Elementary Education, grades 1-8 and Language Arts, grades 6-8
I love attending EncyloMedia, which combines technology and library science.
Upon graduating from Oklahoma State in December of 1989, I went to work at the Stillwater Middle School as the In-School Suspension teacher. I completed the school there year and returned to Grove where I was hired to teach Kindergarten. I taught Kindergarten for two years before moving up to 2nd grade where I taught 23 years. In 2014, I moved to the Upper Elementary to teach 4th grade. In 2017, I started a new adventure as the STEAM Lab teacher. In total, I have been with Grove Public Schools for 29 years.
All my experience, except for the semester at the Stillwater Middle School, has been with Grove Public Schools. I am proud of the fact that I have taught in two of the schools that I attended as a student at Grove
In 1992, I married Bruce DuBois, and we celebrated our 26th anniversary this summer. I have one child, a daughter, Tessa, who graduated from Grove in May of 2018. She is a freshman at Oklahoma State University pursuing a double-major in Entomology and Ag Communications. As a family, we enjoy camping, hiking, and bug hunting.
I love to read when I have free-time. Most of my time the last four years revolved around my daughter’s activities. I loved watching her play tennis, and I would drive her to Joplin for tennis camps and private lessons. As a family, we worked with a group of younger 4-Hers and helped them with their entomology collections, an activity my husband and I plan to continue. I love OSU and attend as many home games a year as I can. I take one weekend to take my mother to an OU game each year. What can I say? House divided, but I am a devoted daughter!! I spend as much time with my mother as I can, and my immediate family has dinner together every Friday (we go out) and Sunday (someone cooks) evenings.
